Angie is a fully qualified French Teacher and Teacher Educator (QTS, PGCE) bringing 30 years of experience across the education and corporate sectors, including secondary, further education and ITT.
In addition to private consultancy, Angie works as a Teacher Educator at a large FE college group designing and delivering successful teacher development programmes and qualifications across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Surrey. She also works in quality assurance consultancy for a leading national ITT provider, observing, coaching and supporting trainee teachers across the South of England.
These roles have required her to spend many hundreds of hours observing new and beginning teachers, studying the knowledge gaps which exist between theory and practice and researching how to address them.
As part of this work, Angie is currently completing an MSc in Teacher Education at the University of Oxford. Her research and academic focus has led directly to the development of the Aim-to-Impact Model, the five-step lesson planning framework which forms the foundation for The Aim Education Partnership's pedagogical training and coaching work.
This framework has already been applied successfully in academic settings and has proven highly effective in developing the lesson planning skills and raising the confidence of new, beginning and experienced teachers. It gives teachers a clear, practical process for planning, guiding them from a well-defined learning aim, through scaffolded outcomes, to purposeful activities and meaningful checks on learning — closing the gap that so often exists between good subject knowledge and confident, effective lesson planning.
Angie also holds a BA (Hons) in French with Distinction from the University of Nottingham, a PGCE with Distinction from the University of Sussex and is a qualified Mentor and Performance Coach. She is fully bilingual in French and English, having lived in France for many years.
